Busy. Active. Athletic. Involved.

A family of 7 (6 humans + 1 canine), the Becks have lived in Cincinnati for 19 years. “Busy” may be an understatement as their children are involved in cheerleading, cross country, track, baseball, basketball and maybe even some football in the near future! When they aren’t on a field, court, or hanging with friends, they love to travel.

What made you move?

"We knew we wanted to move but also wanted to make a big change. We came from a very large school district and wanted to be part of a close-knit community. Our kids went from having around 600 kids in each of their grades, down to about 100. They are excited to have more opportunities to be involved in multiple sports/activities. We also love the location and are much closer to work, and love that we can walk to the park and downtown Madeira so easily."

Why Oyler Hines?

We loved the way the home we bought was marketed" (It was listed by the Oyler Hines Group). "We used the Oyler Hines Group to sell our house as well and knew they would present it in the best way possible to sell quickly." (It sold on the first day!)

"The Oyler Hines Group is a well-oiled machine and makes the buying/selling process as pleasant and seamless as possible!"

What surprised you most about the buying and selling process?

"Moving is a lot of work! It had been 16 years since we had last bought/sold a house. A lot has changed with how things are done."

Most challenging part of buying and selling at the same time?

"The best part was that we were able to find the right house for our family quickly and then our house sold on the first day. It took a lot of stress and pressure off so we could focus on all the logistics of moving."

The best part of the moving experience?

Your top moving tip?

"We started preparing our house to sell a few months before listing it. We did a lot of cosmetic updates, decluttered and got rid of things we didn’t want to take with us. I tried to be very proactive and diligent in staying on a timeline so we wouldn’t be overwhelmed at the last minute. We wanted to be able to time buying/selling as close as possible to avoid moving twice or storing our things. We were lucky to close on both houses on the same day. Moving is hard but staying on top of packing, cleaning, and all the details ahead of time was super helpful."

A huge "thank you" to the Beck family for sharing your story and allowing us to be a part of your journey!
