There's plenty of great suburbs in Cincinnati, but one of the most unique corners of the city is Indian Hill. We're not only real estate experts in this area, but we also have two long-time residents and alumni on our team - Mike Hines and Laura Wogen, who know all there is to know about this beautiful community.
In this blog, we'll give you first-hand knowledge into why we love Indian Hill! But first, watch our video below!
1. The Beautiful Rural & Serene Setting
You'll know when you're driving down an Indian Hill street. With the winding tree lined roads, spacious lots and charming vibe, it's no wonder why so many vie for this neighborhood!
This feeling is created specifically by a few key factors such as the 1, 3 & 5 acre zoning rule, the fact that you won't see any commercial properties in Indian Hill, and in the Village of Indian Hill, 99.0% of the population owns their homes, while approximately only 1.0% rent. Check out the History of the Village of Indian Hill Green Area Trust from the Green Areas Advisory Committee Here.
Insider tip: Check out these gorgeous streets, Kugler Mill, Cunningham, and Blome to see what we are talking about!
2. Property and Earnings Tax Rates Are Low
Nobody wants to pay more towards taxes than they have to and Indian Hill is traditionally one of the lowest tax rates in the area. In fact, the earnings tax rate hovers around 0.5% and the average of property taxes is around 1.8% (as of February 2023).

3. The School District is Ranked #1
According to Niche.com, Indian Hill is ranked the #1 Public School in Ohio.
Bonus: It's #6 on the Top Most Affordable Places to Live in the U.S. for outstanding education.

4. Unique Services Provided To Residents
Need a hand or your garbage taken to the curb? In the Village, they will provide these for you. This is one of the best kept secrets of Indian Hill. Their trash services are second to none as they come up your driveway to collect your trash and recycling!
Insider tip: Traveling? Fill out a resident questionnaire for your family and leave a key at the ranger's station and they will check on your home while you are gone. There is even an app you can download to communicate easily.

5. Beautiful Parks & Community Spaces
Because of personal land donations, the overall size of Green Areas is actually growing from 660 acres in 1962 to over 3,400 in 2020…and donations still continue!
Here are just a few of the hidden gems that make Indian Hill so unique:
Grand Valley Preserve - 379 Acre Park, which was a former gravel excavation site acquired by IH. Located near Camp Dennison with walking trails and lakes.
Redbird Hollow - 4.3 Miles of Walking Trail which was an old rail line, the swing line
Clippinger Field - Home of the Camargo Hunter Trials, which is each October. Purchased by the Village in the 1960s.
